IpAuctions, Inc. Corporate Sales Policies
IpAuctions, Inc. was formed to provide an international online auction vehicle to sell intellectual property from a variety of individual, corporate, and court sources. Through targeted direct marketing and promotional programs, the exposure will maximize the value of your intellectual property. The Company has developed a proprietary database of over 10,000 corporate, research and institutional developers, venture capital firms, IP attorneys and other buyers of Intellectual Property.
Listing Fees and Charges
The Listing Fees to sell intellectual property through IpAuctions, Inc. are as follows:

These Listing fees are the only fees required and must be paid in full to initiate an auction. This includes promotion by our extensive propriety database of IP buyers. Our online web site provides the same bidding features as a live onsite auction. There are several legal requirements, e.g. verifying legal ownership of the IP and insuring proper transfer or assignment of the IP, when sold.
- Auction Sale Percentage - Our listing agreement (ALA) specifies a Seller paid percentage:
- First $100,000.00 - 20%
- $100,000.00 to $250,000.00 - 15%
- Over $250,000.00 - 10%
- We do not charge a Buyer's Premium.
Special Advertising Requirements A Marketing Fee of $350.00 is applied for press release preparation, targeted publications and key potential Buyers at applicable corporate targets (e.g. VP product Dev.). Special legal or other advertising e.g. national newspaper classified advertising, is billed at cost.
Auction Listing Agreement (ALA) - This is our contract with the Seller. Please request a copy of the ALA, by e-mail: info@ipauctions.com or call toll free 866-826-1300. Please provide your full name, address, affiliation and contact information.
Payments
IpAuctions, Inc. requires winning bidders to wire transfer or issue a certified or cashiers check within two (2) business days of the completion of the sale. Payments are made to: IpAuctions, Inc. Trust Account. Payments to the Seller are held until assignment or title transfer documents are completed. Wire transfer instructions for domestic and international transfers are sent by email to the winning bidder.
Auction Policy
IpAuctions, Inc. requires execution of an Auction Listing Agreement executed a minimum of 4 weeks prior to any scheduled auction. Three weeks are required for promotion, notification of trade and business press, our registered user base and/or database of IP attorneys, venture capital firms, and other IP investment groups. It is important that copy submitted for describing details of the Intellectual Property to be sold is as accurate as possible. Once an auction is posted and announced to potential buyers, any copy cannot be changed or modified. The auction is live for a minimum of two (2) business days.
Privacy Policy
IpAuctions, Inc. is concerned about protecting your privacy. If you logon as a bidder, seller or you are a visitor to our free information, we use the information about you only to process your registration. We want to make IpAuctions Inc. a valuable and useful tool. Therefore we strive to respect your privacy.
Registered Bidders
When we process your request, we ask for basic contact information such as your full name, address, your firm or organization, telephone number, e-mail address, and desired method of payment. All required information is kept in-house and is not shared with third parties. Register Bidders may use a moniker for bidding purposes to insure bidder privacy. Occasionally, we may request information, such as surveys, to improve our level of service. We always welcome comments from visitors or active bidders.
Reserve Prices
Corporate and Private Sellers may set a Reserve Price. (Minimum price the Seller will accept for the specific lot.) All other auctions are Absolute Auctions, which the higher bidder is wins, regardless of the final high bid.
E-Mail Notices of Upcoming Events and Auctions
When you sign up for free notification of upcoming auctions, we ask for the usual contact information, such as your name and e-mail address. We also ask for particular demographic information, which is used to help us understand our client base so that we can continue to provide appropriate content. This information is for our use only and is not disclosed to any other party.
Additionally, if you decide that you do not wish to continue to receive notification of upcoming auctions or other events, we make it easy to cancel further messages.
Professional Membership
Since IpAuctions, Inc. was founded in 2002. We have maintained our membership in the National Auctioneers Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Both professional organizations are welcome assets to the development and growth of IpAuctions' staff and associates. In addition, we have worked closely with the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
